#TeamHonk visit The Virtuous Womens Bakery Accra #GoodWork

I’m reading the twitter stream for #teamhonk and they are trending  as they visit Accra as part of the  @comicrelief campaign to encourage awareness about the difference investment can make to communities enabling them to create sustainable, supportive enterprises. The Virtuous Womens Bakery make bread and have a nursery attached for mothers working there.

What a great idea? Why isn’t it done in the UK more?

The link to Annie from Mammasaurus photo post is right here. You can read it from the horse’s mouth so to speak and see the great pics. In the meantime, here is the lovely digital postcard produced as part of the campaign by #teamhonk. If you want to support @comicrelief within the UK and eat well have a look at Menu Relief a nationwide initiative with some of the best individually owned and many  high-street restaurants. My favourites are Tom Aikens, Tony Singh, Mark Greenaway and Michael Smith from The Three Chimneys, Skye. However, Skye is a long way from London.

If you’re not in the UK have a look anyway it may have spread by the time you read this or go to the main twitter stream and it will tell you about the wider activities. #HonkHonk
